When you enter any Panda Express place, you are presented with sixteen entree choices and you really need to be wise about it considering that you desire to stay on to as long as possible. Pro tip number 2: anything that contains the words sweet in it obviously is not to friendly. So here’s the deal.

First of all, if you choose to go with the vegetarian option, do NOT select the smallest (least amount) bowl of rice. It must be at least a cup larger than your rice, preferably around two cups. If you choose to go with the vegetarian option, then at least one side should have at least three vegetables, preferably more (more if there’s a lot of options). And forgo the giant bowl of pasta with this meal. It just does not make sense to me.

Second of all, you absolutely must have the sauce. At least 3 ounces, preferably more. I prefer Pro Tempt’s Italian Chicken Parmesan Sauce, but other alternatives will certainly work as well.

Thirdly, add the beans. Again, I would lean more towards the Italian type since the beans in chili make it taste so much better, but feel free to use whatever you prefer. The idea here is to have as few carbs as possible, since most of us know that they can jump start keto and burn off your fat faster. Here’s what I mean. Asian-style noodles like buckwheat are incredibly high in carbs, while similarly dried orange chicken breast are extremely low in carbs.

Fourth, don’t forget the diet pills. While I’m not promoting them, some people swear by them. Since there are many types of pills, it’s best to go with one that is designed specifically for people going on the keto panda express diet, since some don’t work (due to high levels of sugar or insulin). But if you’re using a generic brand, I wouldn’t worry too much about these.

Fifth, go easy on the cheese. I used to eat a nice package of cheddar on toast for breakfast. Now, who’s going to tell me otherwise? About the only thing that you should really use up at the end of the day when you’re into is cheese… which is good, since cheese is one of the higher carb foods. So go easy on them, and remember that it IS fast food, and a healthy alternative to a burger and fries.
